    Constraining Node Handles

When using the shape tool, is there any way to constrain the control handles of a node so that they can be lengthened or shortened without rotating them?

Keep CTRL key pressed for constraining.

The ctrl key works for constraining most things, but not for node control handles

Ctrl should work, and actually so should Shift (at least in X4).
In X4 they are also improved to stick to the node handle angle in addition to horizontal - vertical. Very cool.
