    Font Substitution braindead sometimes

    Importing a PDF, I get the following Font Substitution from CorelDraw X4:

    Missing Font:
    Times-Roman-Normal

    Substituted Font:
    Arial-Normal

     

    Is it just me, or shouldn't the default find
    Times-New-Roman Normal

    as a closer font match to Times-Roman than Arial?

    I can save the font exception, but it would be nice if the defaults were a little bit smart(er)

    I have the same problem from time to time.

    Pretty annoying.

    We discussed how hopeless panose is in the beta group. And suggested that a better system would be an Internet database that was live connected and worked on averaging actual choices.

    It's good that you guys are highlighting this again.
