Need help installing version 10 upgrade onto Vista

My original CorelDraw program was 4, then I upgraded to 10 several years ago. It runs just fine on XP, but when I tried to load it all onto Vista, I had to load the old 4 first, but it says the program is incompatible, so then since I can't load the original 4, I can't load my 10 upgrade.

Any suggestions short of buying a new version? I really only use all the old basic functions and don't need any more bells and whistles.

    thanks

Did you ever get any help with this? I have 10 on XP, but my new machine is vista and I am almost afraid to try. I have had trouble loading any program other than Microsoft office on the new machine. I had to upgrade my AutoCAD, which was very expensive! So I am still using my corel on the desktop and don't know if I even can switch it to the new labtop.

My only problem was the upgrade from the old 4, which wouldn't load, and my 10 was an upgrade only version so I had to find a complete program. I did find that I had the complete version 6, though, and after I loaded that the upgrade went fine. I have been using version 10 on my Vista, and it has frozen up once or twice, but for the most part works well. If I hadn't had to upgrade Quark to 8, I would probably upgrade my Corel eventually though.

That is encouraging. I can't afford to upgrade corel and AutoCAD. My Corel10 is a stand alone version I got when the upgrade to 10 would not work. I had gotten bad disks and they replaced with a full version.

I had too many upgrades. I had started with 4 went to 5 then 7, and by the time I got to 10 it just seemed too many upgrades.
