I started using a tablet because my right forearm was feeling like limp spaghetti from mousing 16 hours a day. I'd bought it many years earlier, but it sat in a drawer because it seemed awkward compared to a mouse.
It took awhile to get used to, but I had no choice...
Now, it feels strange to use a mouse. The pen feels more natural and lighter. I have Graphire series - pen is only 10-15 grams it seems. When freelancing at print shops, I now bring it with me.
So I recommmend getting one, and consider this technique to try some simple ideas which will feel natural.
BTW, my tablet is 3.75" x 5" area. This is good, since you can navigate your whole screen quickly without having to move arm very far.
dengland:However, I get frustrated in that I know what I want to draw, but getting Corel to do what I can do with pencil and paper is something else. I do not have a digital drawing tablet, and wonder how much of Corel professional artwork is produced with or without a digital tablet. Would purchasing this help me, or would I be better served plodding through Corel without it? Thank you.
