Hi again,
Here are two examples, see below, on how you can do it. (I also include an older tip on Unleash.com website as another example. Paste & copy the link in your browser: unleash.com/ramon/neon/ )
But here are my own two tips. Of my own two I would prefer my tip nr. 2. See highlighted differens on how you go about. Let me know if this is what you asked about. And remember the variations on this theme is many
And I made the glow on tip nr 1, a little differently on purpose. you can get similar effect with both tips. I use Photo-Paint X4, but version 12 would work fin doing this too. All these steps sound like many steps, but really are not. This took me about 1-3 minute because I had to drink coffee at the same time :-)
Tip 1
Glow effect using Mask & Brush tool, Divide
- Dark bakground, in this case black.
- Write a text.
- Create a mask. Mask>Create>Mask from object
- Mask > Mask outline>Feather> 10
- Create a new object in the Docker
- Temporarily turn off text object
- Paint tool>Brush art brush> use DIVIDE (look to the left on property bar)
- Paint with another colour on the new object, in my case always darker yellow, lighter than the text colour
- Place the new coloured object underneath the text object
Finished.
Tip 2
Glow effect using Merge Mode and Mask
- Dark bakground, in this case black.
- Write a text.
- Create a mask. Mask>Create>Maks from object
- Mask > Mask outline>Feather> 10
- Create a new object in the Docker
- Temporarily turn off text object
- Paint tool>Brush art brush>
- Paint with another colour on the new object, in my case always darker yellow, lighter than the text colour
- Go to Effects > Blur > Gaussian Blur
- Place the new coloured object underneath the text object
- Select the the colour object, and in this case use the Merge Mode in the Docker.
- Use in this case Exclusion. You can also use Screen or Logical OR.
