Hi,

I'm very new to CorelDraw, so if this question has been answered elsewhere I appologize. I have been trying to work with the Font Navigator, but every time I try to move a font from the installed to the uninstalled list, the program freezes up and the only way I have to close it is through the Windows Task Manager. I'm using Windows Vista. I tried to download and install the Patch called FontNavFix.msp but I get the following message:

"The installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe."

Can anyone tell me what this means and the correct procedure for installing this patch?

Not sure why your patch doesn't install.

Regarding your initial problem, is it Font Navigator or Draw that freezes? If it is Draw, I think it may be the same as I and other users have experienced. When installing, or even selecting Type1 fonts in the Font Navigator list, Draw freezes for a while. If many T1 fonts are "touched" in FN, it appears that Draw has stopped working. AFAIK, it always come back to life, but it may take a while. Only solution is to avoid selecting T1 fonts, unless you really need to install them. I've seen this problem in many versions, including X3, but it is finally fixed in X4.

No it's Font Nav that freezes up.

Sorry then. I have no idea what could be the problem. Don't think I've seen this on any version or computer during the years. Have you tried a repair?

I took your advice and repaired the installation and that seems to have worked. Thanks.

You're welcome. Glad to hear you managed to get it to work.
