The last years i used to draw graphs with the program called "Vellum". Now i would like to use CorelDraw and open some existing Vellum-files with CorelDraw. The format of Vellum-files is "*.vlm" - unfortunately it is not possible to open/import vlm-files with CorelDraw.

Lately i used the new version of Vellum (Cobalt Share V8 Sp1) where the drawing can be exported for example as a "*.dwg-file". I am able to import this file with CorelDraw but the drawing is different. For example some former arrows are converted into normal lines or text is at a different position and other format-errors.

I would like to know if there is a possibility to open *.vlm-files with CorelDraw without the graph beeing different afterwards.

Thanking you in anticipation

I'll see if I can get a jump start here with this post.

Though I have spent at least 12 years of my life in college classrooms and labs as student or teacher, I'm not currently in a College or University setting anymore. Still,I do use CorelDRAW for a lot of things you'd see there. Here is a short list of possibilities to get started.

1. Of course, it's great for designing posters.

2. Lab quizzes and handouts with those technical illustrations and labels

3. Create labels for equipment

4. Create name tags for social events

5. Flyers, handouts, and newsletters for clubs

Now you tell me how you use CorelDRAW in the classroom and campus. Do you have questions or problems you've encountered along the way? Let's get the discussion going.

Where can I find a class???

I've got some basic CD knowledge. Now we got an engraving machine and myself and a coworker and I need to find a class in Tampa, FL. How do I find one, there's like 200 colleges here, and I'm sick of logging on to each and every college website, digging and digging, and coming up dry. It takes WAY too long. Isn't there a better way to find your local class list?
