    Vista problems...

When I install this version from 3d game programming for teens and I try to access the photo paint, corel draw, corel rave, or corel trace from our vista desktop( which is a hp amd 64 processor  3800+ 2.4GHz with vista ) it says to log in from a admin account and it would work for all users from then on but I'm already logged in as a admin and yet it won't let me access those crucial files. What the heck.

V12 is not VISTA certified and I believe there are no plans to make it so. Might be best to upgrade to X3.

    Re: Vista problems...

I also have same problem, as I have installed Corel Draw Graphics Suite x3 on my Vista Laptop, and then when I try to access the program, it says to log in from an admin account and it would work for all users from then on but I'm already logged in as an admin and yet it won't let me access to it. What could be the solution? Thanks for helping!

    Re: Vista problems...

Don't know if it will help, but one thing you can try is, when you install it, browse to the install/setup.exe on the CD/DVD, right click on it and select "run as administrator" (even if you already are the admin). Also, disable that dam "UAC". Just do a search from the start menu for "disable UAC" and it will take you there. Also, after it's installed (if you get that far) browse to the executable for DRAW (C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics SuiteXX\Programs\CorelDRW.EXE), right click on it, select properties, click on the "compatibility" tab, put a check "run this program in compatability mode for:" and select Windows XP.  These steps may not help you, but they won't hurt either. All I can suggest, but I make no promisses. Hope maybe it helps! Big Smile

Thanks for your kind consideration. I went to installed directory and right clicked on coreldraw.exe and then executed it as "run as administrator" and it works...
