Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

How can I change the upper and lower case size? I guess, it is somewhere defined in percentage with normal size. But where? The upper and lower cases are too small for me and I am obliged to increase their size (for. ex. normal size 8, upper size 10). I am looking for a better solution :-). Thanks a lot in advance...

Hi KarlaK

The upper and lower case size where? If you mean in artistic text, you need only select your text with the Pick tool and drag one of the corner handles diagonally.

If you mean the proportion among lower and uppercase letters in a single font, that is defined by the font designer, not by the software.

Mosh:
The upper and lower case size where?

I think the Karlak refers to the proportion between the height of the fonts, when used in small caps (Uppercase and lowercase, but ALL in uppercase style, proportionally). Generally, the height of the lower is 75% compared to the capital, and when converted to this form, they maintain the same proportion (75%). This is a form of presentation of text that I use regularly, and if for some reason I'd prefer to change these properties, I do the following: manually, select the characters (F10) and change its size to higher or smaller, according to my  layout need.

BTW, the heart of the matter, I think it is a property of Windows, but honestly, I do not remember if it is possible to establish different measures as standard.

Hi Mosh,

I have meant "the proportion among lower and uppercase letters in a single font".  Sorry for my English.

But it is probably not only defined by font designer.

In my attach you can see the same mathematical formula made by the Word and Corel, and in the Corel, upper and lower size characters are visibly smaller and above all not well legible.

I make many scientific pictures with such formulas, and I am obliged to increase the font size for every upper or lower character manually.

Have you any idea what to do?

Thanks a lot, Karla

Hi Silvio Win,

thank for your answer, I am sorry I didn't explain it clearly.

I did it now (I hope) in my answer to Mosh.

Thank you for your patience :-)

Now I understood what you meant. See the comparative figure below. However, I do not think there is an automatic way to solve this issue in CorelDRAW (at least, I could not found any reference about this subject in HELP).

Hi, yes, it is exactly what I do :-)

I hoped that I would find something less enquiquinant :-)

Thanks anyway, Karla

You meant the size of sub- and superscripts. I also wish I could know of a solution for this. I seldom use this styles inside Draw, but I can understand your frustration. Let's hope they fix this for future versions, if there is indeed no current solution.
