Currently I use three printers, and also have different printer profiles for plain, heavyweight, coated, coated2, coated3 papers. Often on a single cdr file, I'll print the cover on either heavyweight or coated gloss and then interior pages on plain, so on those projects I go to color management and change the printer profile for the cover, print, then go back and change it again for the interior pages, and print. Often when I'm running a job or covers on the docucolor I do another part of the job (other sheets or other parts of the job) on the canons, so I need to then go to color management again and choose the canon profile and then print that job or part of the job. Currently having the one printer output profile set globally for coreldraw/photopaint under color management doesn't work well for me.
I wish in X5 there were a quick way to set the color profile with one click when printing from the print dialogue screen instead of having to go back and forth. I also find that for some reason the color management box of X3 and X4 loads rather slow (a couple seconds to come up) which is an annoyance when I'm in a hurry and going back and forth to change it, print, and then change it back. I especially hate it when I've gone to print, have everything setup, and then realize I've forgotten to change the color profile for the printer for that page/job, so then have to back out, change it, and hit print again and go through that again...
If there were a way in X5 to have a quick choice of the printer color profile when printing from the print dialog that would be a real time saver for me.
Concurrently with my request here, in another thread, someone also suggested saving the color profile with the file. This would also be great for me for jobs where I'm opening one cdr file to print the trifolds, another to print return cards on a different machine, another to print envelopes on another machine...
