Do you have a Logitech mouse? If so, uninstall the mouse drivers.

If that is not the problem, then check to see if the space bar on your keyboard is pressed (or have dirt in it, making the space bar send a stream of characters to the PC).

Thank you Hugh for your response.  When I logged in this morning everything was back to normal.  It gets me so fustrated.  Next time it happens I think I will restart the computer as that seems to work.

I am thinking of buying an iMac.  I currently have XP and find that Corel can be unstable.  Do you know if Corel is more stable on the iMac's than XP?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite has not been able to run under the MAC O/S since CGS Version 11. However, using the latest OS-X and Bootcamp (or Parallels) and a copy of Windows (XP or Win 7), you can run the CGS Suite.

But that is a very expensive situation, are there any other reasons to go with the iMAC?

There is no real reason as I have just heard that they are more stable than XP.

My children use Mac Computers at school and my daughter soon will be receiving a Mac Notebook from school which see brings home.  So she is still able to conect to internet, printer etc but I don't suppose I personally need one.

I do have a small business and it can be very frustrating when Corel decides it doesn't want to play anymore.

If I was to buy an iMAC I was going to partition the hard drive with Fusion so that I could still run Windows and Corel anyway. So really it would be a waste of money as I probably would not use the MAC side of things and my daughter would have her MAC notebook anyway.

So No there really isn't a reason to go with iMAC.  However I do really like the idea of no cords etc..... lol  But that really isn't a reason to spend lots of money on something that I don't really need, is it?

Thank you for making me sit down and really analyse what and why I need an iMAC.

You are welcome. Sometimes, I, too, need to sit back and rethink some of my decisions. (Even then, I goof and do the wrong thing  Embarrassed )

In my family, my daughter uses a MAC laptop. She just got her latest new MAC from her boyfriend, who works at Apple. And he uses a PC laptop. Wife and I use PCs. So, from this, alone and with my daughter's current usage, the MAC seems to be just an expensive personal preference.
