We've had CorelDRAW since it was released on about a million 5.25" floppy discs but wasn't honoured with a version number such as '1'. We then  had the dozen or so 3.5 inch floppy disc  versions (which I've only just binned)  before moving on to all the cd versions till CorelDraw 8 which is still in daily use on a laptop running XP. We now also have a laptop running Windows 7 that can't cope with CorelDRAW 8. We plan to get the upgrade to CGS X5 but what is the latest upgrade that will still work in XP?

CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5 was tested and works great on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

You won't regret the upgrade from Version 8 to X5. There are alot of improvements and new features that were added during that period.

Thanks for that. Just hope the pentium4 processor is OK. I want to stick with this 'Portable PC' (an Acer Aspire 1700 laptop filled with desktop components with a total weight of 7kgs) for as long as possible. I hate the 'short' screens used these days.
