I have coreldraw 11  and it came with  photopain 11  and I need some help with Lables.

If you go on the Net or to a store you can get a lot of  Lables by  say  Avery.

And then you need a program to open the Templeatte in so you can print on the Lables and they now how to Aline on the page.

And the same thing goes for  CD  VDV  Lables.

Is there  certain Lables I can get  and have Coreldraw or  photopaint  open a Templeate for it?????

I don't have version 11, but I think the process is the same. In CorelDraw, go to Tools>Options. Look under Document>Labels, select Labels and you'll see a large drop down list where you can choose the label brand, size, etc. Check the Help for more info.

Patti is right -- I do have CorelDRAW 11 and that is exactly how to do it.

Good job, Patti!! Wink

Let not the one who says it can't be done interrupt the one who is doing it.

I wen to Tools   Options  and in here is  Lables.

In here there is even Envalopes  you can print on.

Now one moe thing  say I want a diferant Adress to printout on every Envalope that comes out.

Is there a way to put all my Adresses in Coreldraw  and have then print a diferant adress out on every Envalope.

O do I have to make  every Envalope one at a time????????

Yes, you can use print a different address on each label or envelope. Use Print Merge and enter the data in Corel itself. I personally  use Microsoft Excel to enter the data, and then create a CSV file with the data I want.

Jeff Harrison has a good tutorial on his Macro Monster website about using Excel for print merge. The basics will be the same but you will use Corel and the input method, He uses X3 in the tutorial but the basics are much the same for Ver 11.  There should be information in the Help File.

so I can ad all my adress to Coreldraw  and have it print it out on every Envalope.

And I can create like a Data Bass of all my addresses  and it will keep it and I can ad more as I go on  like  next week and so on??

Yes, it is a type of database. You can save the file and information using CorelDRAW Print Merge if you save it to start with. When you use it again you load instead of create. I suggest you create a small data base using the feature. Save it as a txt or rtf file. Close Corel. Reopen and start again like you were doing a new Print Merge, except you  will load your saved database. You can then alter, delete and or add data.

If you have a spread sheet program, I suggest you use it instead. I use Microsoft Excel. Sometimes I use a real database manage, Microsoft Access, but a spread sheet app is easier to work with and quicker to set up.  In both you have to save the information as a CSV (comma separated value) file to use in Draw's Print Merge.

I will say that I have never used the Envelope in the labels layout. I see no reason not to. I never noticed it.

Practice and learn/

In the screen that you start with it asks for a Name  and you can keep ading Diferant Names.

Is this the Name of the Dada Bass  or what is it?

The left window says Name.

The right side says  feilds of marge.

and a checkbox that says  incramentale field Dada.

A database is a set of records that contains information in a group of fields. (My wording)

The creator of the database must establish the fields and their name. In this case you are the creator. The names can be anything you wish, but it is wise to at least name the fields so that one can understand what each contains. For instance, fname for First Name. Of course you could just as easily use the latter.

CorelDRAW's merger wizard is where you establish the field names and the record data. The screen you are referring to is where you enter the name the fields. (ex. Name, address, city)

I am working in X3, but as I remember it should look very similar to Version 11.

Once you have all your fields named, you enter the data on the next page. The Print Merge Wizard in not fancy but it is effective in doing what you want.

You name your database when you save it as a file. You will have 3 choice of file types. It is your preference as to which to use.

An Incremental Data field is a numeric field that increases (or decreases)  its value for each record, for the  most common use. There are others, such as incrementing to a certain count, then starting over with the base settting. Experiment some.

You first name and add the field, then check the box to set it up.

Hopefully I understand your question. Yes and no. Not link. You can save your CDR layout with the fields you used for the merge and use it at a later date. You will sill have to run the Print Merge wizard, but this time your previously saved database (you did save it, right). If, however you are wanting to print the same set  with no changes, just save the merged file; Merge to new document and save it. There are other ways such as saving to a PDF.

And it has some numbers  in it  or  00000  do I have to name this  rec 1   or enter  something in it?????????????????

And 2.  wen I enter  Names and Addresses  and city state and  zip   in the filed  how do I ad more  I see at the bottum of the screen it has a  New Tab  I think?????????????????????

And 3.

You will find creating data for a Print Merge will be much easier if you use a Spreadsheet  application and save it to a CSV file.

This is not from Ver11 but it should be similar if memory serves me correctly.

More what? Are you wanted to enter additional data (see example above) or data fields?

If you have incremental data fields you can save the populated data in those fields by checking the box or not save it by removing the check. The field will still be there, but there will be no entries. If you do not have an incremental field, it does not matter
