After installing CorelDraw Graphics Suite x 4 on a pc with Windows 7 Home 64-bit, I can't launch Photo-Paint if I login to Windows using my usual standard user account.  I can launch and use Photo-Paint if I activate the Administrator account and login as such. However, I don't want to use the Administrator account because it carries risks.

I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get a solution from Tech Support but was finally told today to contact Microsoft. This forum is also referred to me as a resource. Any suggestions from anyone who may have had this problem before?

Thanks

Try this, open Windows Explorer, and then go to Program Files (x86)\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4\Programs and right click on CorelPP.exe and from the pop-up, select the tab, labeled Compatibility. On that tab, near the bottom, check-mark "Run this program as an administrator"

Hi Hugh, Yes. That did it. I wonder why Tech Support didn't told me to try this.

I found another problem which I will post tomorrow. It is kind of late tonight.

Thanks a lot!
