I hope I can get this explained where it can be understood. I create and box with an outline of 4pt's. Then I want to snap the outline to the very edge of the outline and the guide, but it does not work this way. when the box snapped to the guide it goes to the middle of the outline. This is driving me nuts!!!

Any advice on how to get this corrected or changed?

You could convert your box to an object. When you have done that, snapping will be to the edges rather than the centre line.

As Harry said... Ctrl+Shift+Q will do that. Then you can snap to the edge of your outline... remember that you don't have an outline anymore but an object.
