Hello sidheart; If you are wanting to draw a line that is broken apart, once you select the drawing tool you want to use look at the menu bar and find the attached selection and chose which one you want.

My first impression, when looking at the image you posted, is that you need to get familiar with the Blend tool. You can create a dot, like one of those in your image, duplicate it and then with the Blend tool, make multiple copies of those dots, along the lines of drawing.
Also, if you search www.unleash.com for macros that deal with rhinestone/LEDs placement, you should find something that you could use to accomplish your drawing.

another way: create your own object (a circle or other shape) open the Artisrtic Media docker and drag the object to the docker for add as new list, then draw a line and apply the artistic media (double click or drag over the line)
