Just installed Corel Draw X4 on my new computer running Window 7, 64bit.  I have 16 GB of ram.  Sometimes when I try to import an eps file I crash.  Always when I go to print preview I crash.  Error detail says Fault  Module name is "ntdll.ll" exception code is C0000005.  Looked at my Virtual Memory and it says 16366 MB but recommended size is 24549 MB.  Will increasing my virtual memory to this going to solve my problem or is it something else.  Help!

Hello Rosemary; Which ver. of Windows 7 64 bit are you running? Are you running it in compatibility mode. I'm running X4 on Windows 7 64 bit Ult. with no problems at all. ( It has been on this sys. almost a year and has never crashed. ) Do you have the ".Net from MS loaded?
Own the virtual memory It depends on the computer and what you have running at the same time, and the size of what you are working on.

X4 is not qualified to run on Win 7, and you may have problems. Many people do and some do not. But worry not, there is a free work-around that should take care of things. Go to Microsoft's main web site and search for virtual machine for Win 7. You get that and the free WinXP O/S, modified to run under Microsoft's virtual Machine, install them and Viola! You have WinXP running under Windows 7.

Install CGS X4 under the WinXP. Now X4 will run either under the WinXP O/S or under Windows 7 in the WinXP mode. Problem of compatibility solved.
