    Exporting as a Tiff

I am using Coreldraw12 and while exporting a graphic as a tiff CMYK the colors are not correct.  It was working fine and I had a problem and the program closed.  Once opened back up the problem started.  I can export fine as Gif or publish to pdf from the same file but when I export as a tiff the colors change dramatically.  This problem shows up on the monitor and prints as it looks.

Hi, Are your colors in DRAW set to CMYK or RGB? That will make a huge difference on export. I have come across this question in the past. People had RGB colors in DRAW and wondered why it looked different when they exported to CMYK. Don't know if this is your situation or if it's something more. Lets start there...

I have had a similar problem and sector6 is on the right track I think. Make sure your "colour mode" is set to the right colour mode....CMKY or RGB. What ever your using in corel, it can change on export if your settings are set to the opposite and your colours will end up all funky.

Hello,   Dont think that is the problem.  I have been working with this file and exporting tiffs for proofs.  It was working fine.  now when I export as tiff the reds are brown and all other colors darken quite a bit.  I tried exporting files I created in the past and they do the same thing.  If I publish to pdf or export as any other format it is fine.  I opened the PDF file in Photoshop and saved as a tiff and it works fine.....only in Coreldraw 12 does it fail to export properly.

Ok, it's hard to say whats really going on without having the file in front of me. Perhaps try a quik installation repair just to rule out an corrupt installation. Once we rule out that your installation is ok, we can move on to other possibilities. If you want to send me the file so I can inspect it, send it to "spectron22 AT aol DOT com". I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this.

    Re: Exporting as a Tiff

Out of curiosity, does this happen with the transparency option selected in the export menu? When you import that file back into Corel does it read CMYK or RGB? I was having very quirky issues with X4, Tiff files, and a macro. I thought my issue initially was connected to color management, but nothing I tried corrected. I'm still unable to get proper results with Tiff's and transparency. You can read all about it in X4 areas posts, (you can't miss as I believe it's the longest thread there). I'm too busy to spend anymore time chasing the issue (reinstallation of X4 is my next best shot), so I went back to working on version 12, which I haven't had any issues with (probably just jinxed myself saying that)!
