    Fonts changing to t1 type and then I cannot see them

    When I produce a document, i used TT fonts (because the T1 fonts don't show up in the document).  Then when i save OR paste the text, it changes the text to a T1 font and then I cannot see it anymore.  This happens on new and old documents.  I then have to select the invisible text and change it back to a TT font.  Any ideas?
