    Scanning woes

    Hello!

    I'm scanning several big images (87MB) in PhotoPaint X3, and all of a sudden things no longer work. The image previews OK, but when I try to scan I get the message 

    "The application could not inquire about the palette of the image from the Twain driver. Image acquiring aborted." I reinstalled the scanner driver (several times), ran scan disk and defragmenter (XP), and spent hours searching for advice. Finally, in desperation, I finished the project in Photoshop. Having done that, I discover that now PhotoPaint is back to scanning. ???

    I accidentally cut myself off there...

    What I wanted to ask is, does anyone know what this is about, how to prevent it/fix it?
