    export to tiff issues

     It is still there!!!!

You export ur artwork to tiff format. It will open this time in photoshop (after installing SP1)....but when u again try to save that file in tiff format u'll see that it has LZW compression.

No No No....I did't select any compression while exporting and re checked this many times.

Pls don't try to teach me how to export files from corel.....give me solution as this compressed file won't work on my RIP station

    Re: export to tiff issues

    I cannot duplicate your issue.

I just exported a Tiff from CDX4. It gives me an option during the save to select uncompressed. I opened the subsequent file in PS CS3 and then hit Save As. The file shows as uncompressed.  Are you exporting from Draw or PhotoPaint? Which version of PS are you using?

Perhaps you could give us your step-by-step process and we can figure out what is happening.

Do you care to create a sample TIFF file and attach to this post so I can take a look? :)

     Hi Alex

Have a look at this file

    http://www.yousendit.com/download/TTdGOU1YTkE0b0RIRGc9PQ

This is actually a TIF file but as the browser didn't allow me to attach TIF file, I have changed its extension to JPG. Pls make sure that u change the extension from JPG to TIF

Pls open this in photoshop (after changing the extension) and hit 'SAVE AS'...u'll see the LWZ compression is selected.

Remove this compression and save it and u'll notice 2.68 mb file becomes 56 mb file

    What is this?
