I'm new at this, can someone help?

I need to show this led finger light with a white background. But the light needs to be on and show a little color on that white background. If I just use a brush and white out some area around the light hitting the table then it does not look very good. I want to make a great looking photo to put on the front of this website. I would appreciate any help at all. There is a photo now on the front of this website www.lducompany.com of the finger light but they want me to change it to have a white back ground but show the color light. Thank you.

Re: I'm new at this, can someone help?

    Hello,

This idea did not work the way I had hoped but I "played" for an hour (should be in bed at 4:00am) and dang it I was going to post something for the effort !.

As a rough idea, I made 4 eliptical circles with dropshadows the same colour as the flashlights then breaking apart the dropshadows and deleting the circles, leaving only the dropshadows.  I then made 4 more (smaller), all with white dropshadows, broke them apart and removed the circles as well. The smaller white ones were placed on top of the coloured ones (aligned to their left side) creating basically a cresent of each colour. I then gave each of the new cresent shaped circles a 74% transparency and positioned / aligned each to the flashlights.

It did not work because where the "hot spots" overlap you should see only the white and a better far edge fade is needed. It is also not a proper representation of how reflected light reacts The "Camera>Spotlight" tool in PP works better but I could not change the "background" to white.

Hey Richard ("Fluid").....your the expert....how'd ya do it ?

    Hi Edward,

Maybe you could try to rename the image you are trying to post? Just a thought. In the case you are trying to post the image with the same name.

Ted -- I have never been able to attach an image or to even see or open an image attached when using this group through NNTP; I have always had to revert to the PITA web access to do either. Which is why you seldom see me here. Never have had any problem attaching images to any of the cnews groups.

Whoa----- exception!!!! This message!!! I can see your image. Always a first! Are you some sort of magician as well as being a kids sport team wizard, Ted??????

    Hello Paul,

I've never had a problem with attachments via NTTP to the Forum sites. About a month ago, though, I could not see others' attachments (via  NTTP).....saw a square witha red "X" in it instead. I had to hit the link to open within the forum page to see the images. I can always see MY images when using NTTP on my box.

Re: I'm new at this, can someone help?

    Paul,

BTW: I have NOT been able to login to the forum sites for over a week. Used to just click on the post link (when using NTTP) and the forum page would open...with me logged in automatically. Now, when I use the link or open the forum page via IE, I'm not logged in and when I try...."Invalid Credentials". I can post / reply via NTTP without a hitch (so far and with fingers' crossed)

Ted, have a look at the info in the upper-right corner of the home page... basically, can you try to delete your cookies and cache related to CorelDRAW.com and see if that solved the problem to log into the web site?

If you use firefox, you will need to tell your browser that you don't want to block cookies from CorelDRAW.com once you deleted them. It is the standard behavior for Firefox to block the site if you delete its cookies. Not sure about IE.

    Hello Gérard,

Forgot to mention that I am logged into the beta forum pages (my post made it sound like I couldn't login to any of the forums. Sorry about that). Bit iffy about dumping the cookies and cache least I lose the login to the beta forum as well.
