Portable? Like the Portable Apps stuff? I've not heard of Corel offering
such a product. Who's releasing it?

A wide variety of programs now have portable versions that can be run from a portable drive with mixed success.

I'm quite sure that they're not created or supported by the original software authors.

It's a grey area IMO if someone owns a legit copy of a version... are they able to run the  "portable version" if not run concurrently with their main system? Maybe Gerard can chip in.

It was never released by Corel, so no, it is not legal from what I can tell.

While I find the concept of a portable version of Draw/Photopaint to be
interesting, in reality I think it would have a tendancy to be an epic fail.
My reasoning is that the app will tend to use the drive it's loaded from for
its temp workspace and that will fill up rather quickly. While I've not done
it with v11, in X4 when I was editing photos off of thumbdrive I would crash
a lot due to the fact that I didn't have much free space on the thumbdrive.
