    Corel 'colors'

I've been using Corel for a few years...so I'm embarrassed to even ask this question because I believe the answer is so simple I'm overlooking it.

I've had a custom color palette I've used quite a bit since I started using Corel (version 11, if that makes a difference) that contains colors with names like Corel Green, Corel Blue, Corel Black, etc. and the rest of the colors are PMS colors. What I'm trying to figure out is where I got these 'Corel colors' from because I'd like to add other 'Corel' colors to the palette. I've tried and tried to find colors called Corel (color name) on other palettes but can't find them. Where can I find these colors.

Just to clarify, the main palette I use is the 'previous version - Corel 8' color palette. I just want to know where all these elusive 'Corel' colors came from and where to find the others I want.

Does anybody have any idea what the heck I'm talking about?

Is this what you're looking for?

    Shift+F11

    Palette

    Users Palette

    Custom Spot Colors

You don't have to use any specific palette Corel provides, though.........you can make your own from scratch if you want.

Hi, Diane. Nice to run into you on these forums, too. It's a small world (Let's color it!).

Actually the Shift F11 invoked the Uniform Fill dialogue box.

I can find the palette called CSP and it has about a dozen colors on it. The first four colors are Corel Black, Corel White, Corel Red and Corel Green. The remaining colors are Pantone 100 CV, Pantone 120 CV, etc. I guess that's what's confusing me...does Corel come out of the box with a palette full of "Corel" colors or did I somewhere along the line make a palette and dragged those colors in from another? For the most part, I use a Pantone palette so this is no big deal. Just kind of a head scratcher.

Exactly...........that's what Shift+F11 should open.............The Uniform Dialog Box.

I was sending you there to make sure that we were talking about the same palette.

(You can navigate to the same place going to Window, Color Palettes,  Color Palette Browser.) Just thought it was better for you to check the palette out before you opened it on your workspace. Doesn't matter, either way.

Anyway, back to the Uniform Fill Dialog box. Go there and follow these steps:

Along the top, you'll see 3 tabs. Choose Palettes. It will be the 3rd choice on the right.

In the drop down, choose Users Palettes.

    Then choose Custom Spot Colors.

You can now look at the palette, scroll thru it and see if this is what you were looking for.

It's a fairly large palette in X3, but you can edit it to include/exclude any colors you want. Just make sure you start by renaming it.

If you're still confused, let me know.
