Hello,

I'm getting an install error.

SetupXML error: CXMLFile() -> couldn't instance IID_IXMLDOMDocument2 [I get this window pop-up about 6 times, I click through.]

Then I get this error message:

Setup - SetupAppExecute::InitInstance() -> Could not load Setup.xml

Any ideas?

Can you give us a few specifics, such as Windows version (XP/Vista etc).

What is your operating system?

Are you getting this with the installation of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 or with the installation of the service pack?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Thanks for all the replies.I'm using Win XP SP3. I'm trying to install X4, just got it in the mail. I previously had a demo version of X4 installed, and I think I removed it properly, using a method I've seen on another posting. Here are the screen shots.

Can you try updating the Microsoft XML Parser:

No, the XML parser is already up-to-date (I've installed XP SP3).

Well, I finally got it installed. Here is what I did.

1) Manually deleted any X4 folders & registry keys.

2) Restart

3) Uninstalled all MSXML Parser 6 stuff (SPs, SDK).

4) Reinstalled MSXML Parser 6.

5) Copied over Setup folder from insall DVD to a temp folder on my hard drive.

 --- at this point I tried running Setup.exe, got same XML error dialogs ---

6) Tried running the Coreldraw X4 SP1 install, it gave the expected error message that the X4 product wasn't installed.

7) Now ran Setup.exe with success! No idea why this sequence worked ...

8) Ran X4 SP! with success ...

9) Program works. Hooray! Thanks for all the replies.
