Edit bitmap --> "Windows Paint" starts...

    What is wrong?

When I double-click bitmap image inside Corel Draw (12), it doesn't start Corel Photopaint anymore. It start Windows Paint. How can I fix it?

run a repair or reinstall over the current build on your system, should fix the issue.

    Try this:

Open up PhtoPaint, then go to the menu: Tools->Options->Global->Associate and make shure there is a checkmark on the CPT (Corel PHOTO-PAINT Image) entry.

Then close PhotoPaint and try bitmap image editing from CorelDraw. to make sure we got it. Else, you may have to run a repair on your installation.

By the way...   Couple weeks ago I tested Corel X4. I have reinstalled it. Maybe it has changed something?

When I click CPT-file on Windows, it starts Corel Photopaint normally, but not inside CorelDraw (Edit bitmap).

Is there anything for Corel on Windows Register .... ?

Rerun the install from Disc1, then instead of "Install", select "Repair". This will re-establish the correct file associations to Corel Draw and PP.

When you had the trial installed, all associations were for version X4, the repair will put them back to version 12 CorelDRAW suite.

    OK Hugh, I'll do that.

But how about my setting on Corel? Does "Repair" reset them? And must I reinstall SP1 too?

The repair will not effect the SP1, i.e.: you should not have to reinstall SP1 after the reapir.

Your desktop may return to the factory default, but other than that, nothing else should change. If you have customized your desktop and want to keep it, I suggest that you save it off, do the repair, and then if necessary, reload your customized desktop.
