    Printing Multiple Copies

     Hi all!

I need some guidance please, I am using CorelDRAW12 for producing 1000 17"x17" Graphic Prints for creating some Sunscreens. I am otputing on an EPSON 4450 Printer.

The original .cdr file is only 460Kb but when I send 10x copies to the Printer the file "inflates" until the spooler is having to buffer 2.15Gb which is taking ages to print.

Obviously if I just send one at a time it's not too bad and even up to 5x copies it's managable but with having to produce 1000 copies I am trying to speed things up as best I can!

I have not changed or modified anything in CorelDRAW or the Printer Driver at this point, everything is in DEFAULT settings.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

Try this and see if this may speed things up, a bit.

Print to file and then copy the file to the printer (build a batch file to repeatedly copy the same file to the printer n times.)

I'm really sorry, I know I will sound like an idiot but I don't know how to do that!

I have noted that the printer is printing out at 720dpi but there doesn't seem to be a way for me to change it in the Driver Settings. (it might be worth me adding here that I am using the equipment for Dye-Sublimation so I have the Driver set at No Colour Adjustment as the Artanium Ink ICC Profile does the rest!)

    Cheers

    Re: Printing Multiple Copies

When you click on Menu->Print (from DRAW), a popup will occur, listing the printer, this will allow you to make any changes from the standard settings that the printer defaults to. On this popup page may be a check box, labeled something like "Print to file". If you check that box, a dialog will show, allowing you to name the output (print) file and select its location on your system.

From here on, all you have to do is to drag the file over to the printer (if you have a printer icon handy, such as one on your desktop). Each time you drag this file to the printer icon, you should get another printed copy of the file.
