    Symbol library

Apologies if this is something that has been mentioned many times before but... Being new to CorelDraw I expected there to be many symbol libraries for different applications e.g. electronics , networks etc but I yet to find any on the web or with my installation of CorelDraw. Can anyone help. CorelDraw101 lesson but its soemthing that would really help me.

I have searched the corel website but that was not very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Billy,

There are no libraries supplied with CorelDRAW and I'm not aware of any
    third party libraries.

    Re: Symbol library

You will find quite a few symbol fonts in the suite -- electronics, computers, signs, for examples.

Outside of ones used for travel/tourism/meetings/floor plans/maps I have never had occasion to use them so cannot comment on how complete they are. The clip art book with X4 lists them, and, of course, you can use font navigator to take a look at them. (They are not all internally flagged as "symbol" so Font Nav will only see some of them if you ask for all formats.) In X4, all are True Type fonts, and, as such, can be used at any size and of course, any angle, etc.

    Re: Symbol library

Just noticed this is the X3 group, not X4 so one tiny correction--prior
to X4, the symbol fonts (and all others for that matter) are available
in bot Type 1 and TTF.

(fonts included in X4 are mostly TTF or Open Type, with some specialized
formats available for some selected fonts)
