    Problem printing text with outlines

Recently our xerox engineer installed a new driver on our docucolor 250 printer.

Ever since we can't print outline around text. If anything, the text comes up and the rest of the page is printed in the colour of the outline.

Does anybody else seen or has this problem and knows how to fix it.

    Best regards,

    Edwin de Groot

btw don't suggest calling xerox support, because they are (and now I'll say it nicely) far from helpful!

Does this occur with all fonts? I had an issue like this in 2002 and it ended up being a corrupt font that corporate insisted upon using in every advertisement.

In my case it was a fountain fill that would spill out of the text outline and cover the entire page.

Yup, it occurs with all fonts. Not with shapes, their outline prints fine.

Since my last post we figured out the problem (but no solution yet...). Apparantly the printer prints all the outlines around text to thick.

e.g. a 1 points line will fill the page, while a 0.000003pt line will look like a 1pt line before...

Obviously we can't be changing all the artwork of all our clients, so we are still looking (and fighting with xerox) to get a proper solution.
