Day 3 Illustration Contest

If I plan to win this contest I'm gonna need to step up my illustration Game. I am beginning to doubt my tallent. It needs more everything.......Light and shadow, Texture, A Background and so much more. There are a couple places I need to start sketching out the components to such as the body. Wish me luck I'm gonna need it.

Day two of my illustration for the Corel 20th anniversary. This is what I have so far. I'm supprised I got so many hits on this image so far. I plan to play with the color sceme latter. Right now I've been thing about what I should put in the Background . Thank you all you left a comment. Any input is welcome .

Here Is the new head to Avatar. Although I like how he came out, I think this is a small test for something much bigger. I have been thinking about what makes a good illustration. I have been going back to color, Light\shadow, form, and texture, the basic concepts in art and I think revisiting these atributes have made this piece allot more believable. The last vew of my illustrations I have been playing with the texture features in corel. I think the textures are helping my illustrations. I am going to keep playing around with textures to see what else I can come up with.

Colors Have become a problem for me in corel. Even with the pantone color palate all the colors seem kind of flat. I think I am going to do some more research into color as well. The shading I am happy with over all. I need to take not in my illustrations where the shading and lighting should come in and how it should look.
