I apologize for the image but the mural is too long and too large to be shown clearly and there in not enough room for the image to be seen in its entirety. The person behind the counter (at the right side of the picture, just barely out of shot) will give you an idea just how big the mural is.

One of several murals created for a new indoor Children's Play and Party Center in Metro Manila. The center was a miniature version of a small town, complete with it's own school, hospital, store, etc. Along with the town, there is a huge playground for more active kids. This graphic is one of the biggest and was used near the playground to maintain the look of a small town. All elements were created and assembled in CorelDRAW.

Another food and lifestyle market from a client of mine, this time in the city's main business district. The main challenge here was creating a look that would give it a fun and whimsical atmosphere yet keep it consistent with the other food markets the client currently handles. The graphic work of legendary designer Saul Bass was, apparently, my inspiration in this poster.

All elements were done and assembled in CorelDRAW.

One of several food markets to open in the city this year. This is one of several markets that's run by a client of mine, and it has been getting raves from among food lovers and bargain shoppers alike within the city. This work is one of several marketing materials made to promote the market. All elements were done and assembled in CorelDRAW.

Organic Producers Market

This is an updated version of the Producer's Market ad I created back then. They had a new sponsor and new venue for the event, as well as new set of vendors which sold all-natural and certified organic products so an updated ad/flyer was in order. I wanted to maintain the look of vintage letterpress advertising of the early 1900's so I've used line drawing traced in CorelTrace and fonts which are, or similar to the typefaces used during that period.

All elements were created and assembled in CorelDRAW X5.

A Sparkling Christmas Carol

I've just found this in my old backup files. It's from an old project back in 2008 for a popular hotel chain's Christmas campaign. This is the third of a four-part campaign (the other two are in my gallery here). The original files were lost when my hard drive crashed but I was able to retrieve some of the files through my e-mail account. All of the elemets were done in CorelDRAW X4, with image editing done in Corel Photo-Paint X4 (including the copy which I had to do myself since we can't afford a copywriter).

I thought of bringing it back for the coming Christmas season. Hope you guys like it!

Daddy's Basketball Bootcamp

A poster / flyer created for a summer basketball clinic for fathers and sons. I've used the text layout used in old sports posters and sports event tickets and incorporated modern visual elements from basketball team logos to create a unique look for the two-day event, including the event logo.

All elements were created in CorelDRAW X5.

ExpoMom 2011 flyer

A poster/flyer created for a trade expo for mothers. This year's theme was eco-friendliness, and they wanted to reflect this in the poster's visuals. The image depicts the usual mother-and-child graphics but placed them in front of a round flowering shrub. The round shrub also suggests the green Earth while mother-and-child image suggest the Mother Earth and how it becomes the main focus of the event.

Taal Balcony View

This is the main image of a billboard I created to promote my client's leisure property development near Taal Volcano (Don't worry, it's well past the danger zone and within the safe zone). I've layered several watercolor stains over the main image and merged them to create a watercolor effect and exported as a JPEG. Images were edited in Corel Photo-Paint and asembled in CorelDRAW.

UPDATE: I've added a watermark to the illustration to prevent others from using this image without permission.

Producers Market ad 2

Another version of the Producers Market ad.

This time the client agreed to reduce the amount of copy needed as the size was much smaller than the flyer. Sort of.

I've had to re-arrange the copy and re-size some of the elements to make sure it fits the limited space. I have to admit it looked crowded but it still manage to maintain the look of the original ad.

Producers Market

Flyer/print ad for an organic market/bazaar for a client of mine.

The client had provided a lot of copy and placing all of this inside a small space proved to be a challenge. The only solution was arranging the copy in a layout similar to those found in old newspaper ads from the 1900s (Similar to my previous ad for W the Big Grill in this gallery). Looking like an old ad for a market day in the countryside, the copy (with its retro fonts and one-color treatment) eventually became an ideal backdrop for the logo and important details without making the ad look crowded.

Weakest Link timer concept

In my previous post, I mentioned that I've included a "clock" face in the design. I'd imagined that they would use a large screen on the set (preferably behind the host) as a backdrop with the logo and either some or all of the individual elements of the clock face turning clockwise. Before the round will start, the logo would morph into a large timer. And instead of a pile of disks usually seen at the left showing how much they've earned, a literal chain with their corresponding money values would appear below. One wrong answer and the link where question was asked would break and a new chain would replace the broken one.

Also, the logo would glow a different color as time progresses. Blue in the first few seconds, red at halftime, and the glow will be much brighter at the last 15 seconds. And a flash of white as time ends. The visual cues may add more pressure to the contestants as they can see how stressful the game is becoming, as well as how much time is left.
