Nephew of the famous Sioux chief "American Horse", who was involved in the fight at Little Big Horn and who was killed in 1876. He then took the name of his uncle and became chief "American Horse" (the younger). He died in 1908. Drawn with Photopaint after a photo by J. A. Anderson in 1900.

"Born 1861. Mountain Crow; Not Mixed Clan; Fox organization. When only eighteen or twenty years of age he captured a gun, struck second dákśhĕ, and killed two Piegan in one fight, thus receiving his name. Later he took two horses from the enemy's camp."
