this is simply a quick trace of a famous painting, what's the part of creativity in simply doing a quick trace & no originality ? is this the way of judging ?! Corel is losing my trust in them. even though i'm not selected i vote for the really deserving graphics.
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job with quick traced, even using a picture that is very powerful tool for artistic work. So what is art? but can use the quick traced art is all that matters is the result. Congratulations.
Corel offered the room for this artwork on this site because they have inspected the source file so Corel knows its value, and viewer can only see the flat Jpeg file. I dont want to discuss inside details but remember its made in CorelDRAW not in illustrator.
I did this art to be screen printed, those who know about the screen printing they very well knows the limitations, my task is to create the patch colored painting to be printable with minimum colors, and i managed to get the best possible effect in 16 colors (no tones no overlaps no lens only solid colors).
If you dont know the Screen printing process do a simple test with the inkjet printer, create a artwork with quick trace with best possible result and print one spot color at a time, you may manage to print it in up to 15 minutes but in our process it takes more than 16 hrs of time, and dont ignore the white spaces you have to print with exact settings.
I have used a quick trace to create this artwork with lots of manual tweaking, anyone can download the origin design with searching for "love painting" and give a try with quick trace, see if you can manage to come nearby my work and one last point if you are going to create the realistic artwork using the CorelDraw then you must and must have strong reason. A Tip, to create realistic image give a try PHOTO-PAINT dont wastes time with CorelDraw.
Its been so long for comment but actually i have submitted the artwork and forgot, and suddenly today i see my artwork on net and come to your comments, so dont take me comment wrongly.
Well we won the silver award for the same artwork look for "Category 13B" at "www.fespa.com/.../FESPA2010AwardWinners.pdf"
