I saw this on my wife's Yahoo home page and thought to replicate it in CorelDRAW.

The checkerboard may look like it has a fisheye effect, but everything is straight and aligned.

I knew I've seen this from somewhere. How about adding a faint shadow under the dots to make it appear more three-dimensional?
