I got a version of Corel 3 years ago on the discount rack. I am fifty-one years old and have been an artist all my life. Getting Corel 3 was just another tool in my artist's arsinal. Since then, I had an accident that has limited my use of my right hand, and now Corel has become my primary tool for doing my art. The image here of the Battlestar Galactica is the latest thing I have done in Corel 12. All I know in Corel is self taught, so I am sure there are plenty of things I could do easier than I have, I am just unaware of them. But this pic is the result of all I have learned so far.

Now there's a plenty of detail right here! I only think that the background stars are little too strong in contrast, taking away of the attention from the actual ship. That's just what came to my mind at first. Otherwise, well done!

Well, the first space background was the only one I could find in the Corel Library of space backgrounds. I did find one called Night Sky, but then I found a photograph of space and I tried to duplicate. So here the background is also done the same way the ship is. You are right, Ville, it is less distracting. Thanks for the tip.
