Three English translations I found:

 1. "The sleep of reason produces monsters"

 2. "The sleep of reason brings forth monsters"

 3. "The dream of reason brings forth monsters"

When I was there, in this room, I strongly have changed for myself and I consider this work as the best my picture alongside with "Long sleepless night ", "Danae" and "Kiev" s sun "

I don't read History that much, but your picture made me read about Goya. So if there are references to other historical works, yes I didn't notice them :(

I love all your works. I re-watched "Long without Dream Night"; amazing! and in addition to "Danae" and "Kiev`s sun", I love Olympia, Illustration, Expetation, sibylla, new autumn sence and Intim scene.
