any possibility to save all elements on a new page in separate layers under one click ?

I am wondering, is it possible to duplicate the page content, but to have all elements on the new page as a separate layers? Perhaps, some short key buttons combination....Just got tired to copy and paste all my elements as a separate layers to the new page :(((( Need to have all elements separate because creating a SVG file for die cut machine.

CD X5 - PLT export glitch

The files that I export need to be set up with the pen colors in this order: Black, Red, Blue, Green. I also reduce the pen width to .01 mm so that the print nicely on orders. I'v notice two problems with X5's PLT export filter.

1) The pen info is ignored unless you click on the "Pen" tab before clicking on Export.

2) Changes in pen order are altogether ignored. If I chose pen 2 to be export as red, it still exports as blue.

If there is something that can be done, please let me know. X5 is unusable to us until the PLT filter is fixed.

Lots of Issues Caused by Temp Files

I recently was experiencing Alllll sorts of issues with Corel Draw x5 at work. I called in an outside tech support company to take a look at the issue after I had done my best to Uninstall, Reinstall, and Update to try and fix my problems. Turns out he found that the temp folder that Corel was using had 20 Gb of worthless data stored away.

So to anyone having massive unexplainable issues or anyone who's corel is just running slowly, try emptying your temp folder.

Just go to run in the windows menu and enter: %temp%

then delete what is likely THOUSANDS of useless files from that folder.

I think this is an issue that people only have when using Corel day in and day out all day long since the folder most likely isn't being automatically emptied frequently enough.

Give this a whirl and let me know if this helps anyone.

What causes an invalid fill id?

I just started using corel x5 and EVERY time I put an outline on an object, (always 9 points thick) the next time I re-poen the file it says I have an invalid fill id and it makes my outline hairline thin and the default stroke color. It is driving me crazy!!! help!!

Weird text to path issue (not the one everyone else has been having)

Anytime I create something in CorelDraw X5 that has text on a circle, the text on the bottom of the circle does strange things. Every time I close the file, the next time I re-open it the text is either backwards and upside down or converted to curves. This happens EVERY time. Has anyone else had this problem?

I can't separate the text from the path and then delete the path or convert it to curves once it looks the way I want, because I am creating art for clients who normally make multiple changes to their designs, including text changes.

How do I Remove the white background for a JPG?

Im adding a logo to something and its in JPG format, I need to remove the white background on it and keep the logo the same, using the erase thing takes to long and messes up the shape.... CAN ANYONE HELP??

Illustrator CS5 files won't open in Corel X5. Why?

I created some large files with a canvas of 6'x6' in Portable Adobe Illustrator CS5 v15.0.0 and though the file sizes themselves are not too large i.e. around 5.47MB to 17.4MB, they do not open in CorelDraw X5 which simply shuts down automatically. I have no plausible explanation for this as the files are pretty straightforward with no fancy stuff or fonts or anything at all. Could someone throw some light on this problem?

Hi guys! I really need some help here regarding CorelDRAW. It's not really what I need to know, but more of what I need to let others know.

I'm a CorelDRAW instructor here in PCCI (Phil. Center for Creative Imaging), an educational center here in the Philippines teaching graphics and every year, we participate in an Graphic Expo and we hold seminars here for students, professionals and other graphics enthusiasts who want to learn more about graphics and design. It'll be my 2nd year participating here and I've been told that I have that, being the only CorelDRAW instructor there, I will have to give a new topic for this year so as to make sure we discuss all-new topics and not just a re-hash of last year's talk. It's not exactly mandatory, but I would like to show the other advantages and possibilities of using CorelDRAW.

The deadline for submitting the title of our seminar topic is almost near and I still haven't had any ideas what to spaek about this year. I'm still in the middle of two projects and I don't have any time left for it. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what I should talk about CorelDRAW?

At this point, any ideas from you guys will be welcome and a great help for me. Thanks!

(BTW, I've talked about CorelDRAW shortcuts and making better powerpoint presentations made with Coreldraw graphics)

Object Order

Hi there. Can Corel X4 automatically reorder the order in which Corel lists objects on a layer. I have a laser that needs to make 5,000 cuts but I find that the head runs from here to there, helter skelter, retracting its steps and wasting a lot of time. (I know it lists them in order of creation, but things get moved around, copied, deleted, etc.) I then discovered I could cut-and-paste, "one-by-one" and reorder all 5,000 curves myself but that's killing me! Can Corel "automatically" do this looking at the X-Y coordinates of the curves beginning node or something!? This, I would think, would be a HUGE benefit to all those running CNC devices with Corel

X4 crashes while opening in XP

I'm having a problem here with X4. I've created several file in CorelDRAW X4 but each time I try to open them, I get the Corel A.R.M. message and it suddenly crashes. At first I thought it was just because of one file I made but this has happened with several works I've done lately, which forces me to re-do the files anew, which is a problem when time, specifically deadlines, is an issue.
