import preview of graphic missing in vista with x4

I just "upgraded" to vista and installed x4 and updates but when I import a graphic (previously created as wmf in x4 on my winxp) the import window doesn't display a preview of image (which I so dearly loved when running winxp) and the dropdown menu for the Import button has everything...

CorelDraw Won't open.....Registry Value ConfigDir not found

I just downloaded and installed CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4. I tried to open it and I get an error that pops up a few times saying Value ConfigDir not found in registry.
