• Re: New files in X3 are slow to load

Sometimes this happens if the Insert Character docker is opened. It's like CorelDRAW reloads fonts each time you create a new file. Close the docker or switch to another docker. I don't know if it happens with other text related dockers. Waiting your feedback...
  • Re: Downloading new fonts to Corel X4

What I said is not "what I would suggested" but the normal and traditional way to install fonts. By default, the fonts are managed by the system. Of course, it's the same to open Control Panel /fonts that copy and past to the Windows/Fonts folder. Also, you can drag and drop fonts to install...

  • Re: Downloading new fonts to Corel X4

Fonts are installed on the operating system, and can be used in all Windows-based programs. You can install directly through Control Panel / Fonts, or using a font manager software, such as Bitstream Font Navigator, included in the CorelDRAW X4 suite.

  • Font Friday: Roadgeek Fonts

When I drew up the plans for my daily topic, today was supposed to be Font Friday. That means one font. I decided we should start with a bang and I'll direct you to a bunch of fonts today. Roadgeek fonts were created to duplicate the fonts used on highway signage. Please read the license agreement...

  • Re: Acro agro

More than 1460 fonts? what a crazy idea? Windows can't handle more than 720, but maximun is normally up to 400 fonts. And the ideal amount is less to 100 font. Really, nobody never use more than 100 fonts at the same time. Look at the Macintosh. Mac users boast and boast that their hardware and operating...

  • Re: Slow to load - and crashing!
I'm not able to open the View Docker
Bad sign. Something is wrong in somewhere.
but I do have a lot of fonts installed. Could that affect it?
Of course. Each font took a bit of memory, and spends system's resources...

  • Re: Font size changes on import...

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem with SVG, the reason from Corel is that text size is specified in pixels untis for text in the SVG standard but Corel can only set the units as points, mm, cm etc. all the text displays too small

  • Designing Fonts in CorelDRAW

I've always been very interested in fonts. Each one is new and different. Some are awesome, some are just plain awful. This love of fonts led me to work for a font foundry back in the early 90s. That company had all kinds of software tools for creating fonts. And even while the digitizers at the...
