Shapes like that will be much more easier to redraw. It looks like it just have a Fountain (Gradient ) fill and a drop shadow.

That's probably gonna be a problem. Have you tried copying and pasting as special (Edit Paste Special)? Also, try printing to a pdf instead of publishing directly from Powerpoint. Another option is to save the file as an EMF (Enhanced Windows MetaFile).
