  • How to choose font-type for (social media) logo?

Hi there, I would like to design a logo for my social media portal. Maybe you can help answer my questions: How do you choose your font-type? Are the font-types of Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Skype custom made or general (thus not unique)? Where to get nice fonts? What font-type do you recommend? I welcome...

  • 7 deadly sins

This was originally a design study for a new set of prepaid call cards for a major telecommunications company but it was rejected as it was unlike a previous study pre-selected by the client. I decided that this was too good to be used for a call card so I used it as a stand-alone work. The concept was...

  • Re: Cut out help

You can also use the Smart Fill Tool . I think that's the quickest way. The Smart Fill Tool is the sixth (6th) tool under the Freehand Curve Tool on your toolbox. Click on the Smart Fill Tool and fill those areas you want to be non-transparent.

  • How do you create a spraypiant effect?

I am about to create a single colour logo in CorelDRAW. I am looking to create a spraypaint effect with paint runs as a background, with the main logo and text reversed out infront of it. As it is to be a logo, I would like to create it as a vector image (curve). Is there a tool that I can use to achieve...

  • Sunday Stock: Sports Logos

I frequently hear of users trying to find logos of professional and college sports teams. One reason you don't see them sold as collections is that they require licensing fees to be used legally. I recently came across a site that has a wide variety of sports logos you can download for free. Many...

  • Origins of the Peace Sign

I was reading National Geographic recently and came across the story of how the logo for the peace symbol originated. It was a bit of a surprise since I don't read it to get stories about graphic design. After doing a bit more research, I realized the logo celebrated its 50th birthday this year....
