I would recommend you look hard at the Canon DPP software that came with your camera. It is a very good raw converter with many nice features. You can download the latest version free from Canon's website. Then you won't have to use a credit card.

Well, actually it is easiest if you get them straight in camera. Those who use PhotoPaint and have seen PSP or LightRoom in action can develop Horizon Correction envy.
