    IMO Corel has dropped the development of SVG support (they even used to have a browser plugin a few years ago) for economical reasons apparently and it is very sad. SVG has a whole bunch of possibilities unseen in other vector formats (the amazing vector blur is my prefered) and Corel could have won...

    Yes, it's true that Corel Draw sucks at SVG. The SVG files it produces are not very valid, and it does not support the basic filters that the SVG standard offers (like for example the amazing Blur effect). I use Inkscape a lot, and when it comes to SVG, Inkscape is the best instrument you can probably...

    Did you find a solution? I have the same problem with SVG, the reason from Corel is that text size is specified in pixels untis for text in the SVG standard but Corel can only set the units as points, mm, cm etc. all the text displays too small

  • Importing SVG crashes X4

    I am trying to import an SVG file into Corel Draw X4. Everytime I do this it crashes X4 completely. The SVG files are fine - downloaded from Fotolia. Any ideas?

I've recently downloaded some SVGs from openclipart.org (highly recommended, BTW) and tried to open and manipulate them in Draw, and it either hangs completely and has to be force closed with the Task Manager, or it behaves strangely.
