Turning off the auto join in free hand tool ??

Is there a way to turn off the auto join with the free hand tool/ I am trying to sketch and need to do lots of small free hand dots and marks for depth and it is driving me crazy trying to just do a small dot with my Bamboo pen. Is there any solution to Photo Paint, the tools Clone and Paint dont work. I install again but the problem remain... (Photo Paint X3). thanks for any help... ;-)
